Aston Villa’s President of Business Operations, Chris Heck, has provided an update on when we can expect the release of our new kits.
Villa confirmed our new multi-year partnership with Adidas on May 20, with the sporting giant set to be our official kit partner from the 2024/25 campaign onwards.

After months of speculation over the deal, there remains significant anticipation and excitement over our new look for the upcoming season, but a month on from that announcement, we’ve yet to hear or see anything confirmed as of yet in terms of the unveiling of our new kits.
In his latest in-house interview with VillaTV, Heck has provided the reasoning behind the wait, and has offered a timeline as to when Villa fans can expect to see the kit, and then ultimately purchase one.
“We started with the kit design as soon as we completed the agreement with Adidas,” he told VillaTV. “That kit design usually takes 18-24 months. So we’re a little bit behind, we have a lot of people working very hard to accomplish our goals in having the kits ready for the season. We expect to launch the look and feel with our players in our home kit the first few days after the Euros and then on-sale will follow after.”
With the EURO 2024 final taking place on July 14, the expectation is that we will see it in the following days, as given our first pre-season game comes against Walsall on July 17, the players will no doubt be wearing the home kit for that encounter.
Given our Premier League rivals have all unveiled their new kits already, it has been a frustrating wait for us, but ultimately, as detailed by Heck, the process is what it is, and hopefully there are no delays between now and mid-July to push that touted unveiling back any further.
It is also likely to coincide with the opening of our new club store at Villa Park as well as additional infrastructure work at the stadium, but of course, we’ll hope to get our first glimpse at our training wear at least before then as the players return to Bodymoor Heath for pre-season training at the start of next month.
