Aston Villa are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for Calum Chambers as Unai Emery may approve of another exit this month.
Villa have already sold Danny Ings, loaned out Morgan Sanson and Cameron Archer while parting ways with Frederic Guilbert permanently and approving of a request from Southampton to recall Jan Bednarek from his loan spell with us.

While Jhon Duran and Alex Moreno have been signed to bolster our squad, it is still looking rather thin on depth and competition in certain areas, and so the expectation is that we will bring in further reinforcements before the deadline.
Emery has stressed on several occasions though that we will only sign players who improve us, and so it remains to be seen if deals can be done for his preferred targets.
However, according to the Daily Mail, there could be another exit on the cards with Villa said to be open to offers for Chambers, who has continued to struggle for playing time this season.
The 28-year-old has featured on just seven occasions across all competitions, and with Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa remaining the first-choice centre-half pairing under Emery and with Diego Carlos set to return from injury next month, he is unlikely to see his situation change at Villa any time soon.
That said, should we allow him to leave, that would leave us light in another key area with Bednarek having already left, and so time will tell if Emery has plans to bring in a centre-half this month too in order to ensure we have enough cover.
It’s a fascinating process that Villa are currently going through, as the Spanish tactician is essentially trimming the squad of players that are deemed surplus to requirements and thus making space for him to bring in his own signings who suit his ideas and style of play better.
While the strategy of only signing top priority targets is the right one as it will raise the quality level and competitiveness of the Villa squad, we also have to be careful that we have enough in the group to ensure we remain competitive between now and the end of the season having already closed the gap to the European qualification spots.
