Aston Villa’s fixture schedule has been updated with four of our five games in October set to be televised.
Preparations are almost complete for our Premier League season opener against Bournemouth on August 6, with our final official pre-season friendly set to be played against Rennes on Saturday.

Steven Gerrard will also put out an XI in behind-closed-doors friendlies against Fulham and Liverpool over the course of the next week, and so there will still be plenty of time for our players to reach full fitness and match sharpness.
While our fixture list has already been confirmed for August and September, the Premier League has now announced the schedule for October with only a handful of games to follow those before the break for the World Cup this year.
As detailed below, via the official Villa site, four of Villa’s five games in October have been selected for TV, while the kick-off times have been changed to accommodate that with the final fixture also being moved too.
- Leeds (A) – Oct 2 (KO TBC) [Sky Sports]
- Nottingham Forest (A) – Oct 10 (KO 8pm) [Sky Sports]
- Chelsea (H) – Oct 16 (KO 2pm) [Sky Sports]
- Fulham (A) – Oct 20 (KO 7:30pm) [Amazon Prime]
- Brentford (H) – Oct 23 (KO 2pm)
Gerrard and the Villa squad will no doubt be fully focused on Bournemouth for now, but given the nature of the fixture list this year due to the mid-season break, it’s a packed October that will test their fitness and the depth of the squad as we look to put together a serious challenge for a top-half finish.
