Aston Villa boss Unai Emery has confirmed that Alysson should return from injury to make the squad to face Wolves.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a positive debut against Brighton earlier this month, coming off the bench in the latter stages to help us secure three important points.
However, he suffered another injury setback following that game, and subsequently missed our encounters with Newcastle United and Leeds United in the FA Cup and Premier League respectively.

The good news is that his latest issue hasn’t sidelined him for too long, as having returned to group training this week, Emery has confirmed that Alysson is expected back in the matchday squad for our short trip to Molineux on Friday night.
“Alysson is coming back, I think normally he will come back in the squad for tomorrow,” he told the media, as per VillaTV.
“In case he’s training this afternoon; we’re going to train this afternoon.
“The other players, with the players we know are out, hopefully they will be available for tomorrow.”
Long-term absentees John McGinn, Youri Tielemans and Boubacar Kamara remain sidelined, but Emery sounded optimistic that the rest of the squad would be available for this clash.
It’s imperative now that Villa get back to winning ways after salvaging a point against Leeds last time out, as the chasing pack are undoubtedly closing the gap on us in the race for Champions League qualification.
Having Alysson available again will be an important boost as it offers us a different tactical solution and dynamic in the final third, and hopefully he’s able to gradually integrate into the side and avoid any further injury setbacks that will only serve to disrupt his momentum and adaptation.
