Aston Villa could reportedly be without Calum Chambers and Douglas Luiz vs Arsenal, while Lucas Digne faces three weeks out with injury.
After our three-game winning streak came to a disappointing end last week at West Ham, Steven Gerrard will hope his side can bounce back immediately against the Gunners on Saturday.

He’ll have to make changes to his starting line-up though it seems, with Lucas Digne suffering a hamstring injury at the London Stadium which forced him off in the first half, while both Calum Chambers and Douglas Luiz sustained facial injuries.
As per the Daily Mail, they’ve suggested that Digne could face at least three weeks on the sidelines as he continues his recovery, while Luiz is a doubt to face Arsenal given he had to undergo minor surgery on the cut to his face.
It’s added that Chambers is hopeful of facing his former club, but time will tell if Gerrard feels as though a change is needed off the back of that result at West Ham, with Ezri Konsa pushing to come back into the Villa XI.
The same could be said with Luiz as Morgan Sanson continues to make a case for a more prominent role, while Ashley Young is expected to step in and deputise in Digne’s absence, with the experienced stalwart showing his versatility last time out to slot in and perform well.
It promises to be a difficult challenge for Villa given Arsenal’s form in recent months, and these injury blows won’t help as we look to pick up a positive result.
Nevertheless, we’ll certainly back ourselves at home to cause the visitors problems, and with a squad that now boasts quality depth, whichever players do perhaps get a chance to impress if changes are made will be itching to make a positive impact.
