Aston Villa have officially announced that Kaine Kesler Hayden has been recalled from his loan spell at Huddersfield Town.
As per the club’s official statement, Kesler Hayden will now make his way back to Villa with his season-long loan deal being ended early, having made 15 appearances for Huddersfield during his time with the Championship outfit.

Given the 20-year-old completed 90 minutes in three consecutive league games prior to this weekend’s meeting with Hull City, he was starting to solidify his place in the side and get regular playing time.
That is ultimately what Villa would have wanted from his loan stint at Huddersfield in order for him to gain experience and develop his game, but they’ve now opted to bring that to an end prematurely with the Championship side revealing from their side that they have opted to end the agreement early due to having more senior options available in that role as they battle relegation.
As one of the biggest talents from that crop of youngsters, there is real hope that Kesler Hayden will go on to become a pivotal member of the senior Villa squad in the coming years, and so it will be interesting to now see what the next step is for him.
It’s possible that Villa will simply send him on loan elsewhere, where they believe it is a better fit for him to continue his progression for the remainder of the season before Unai Emery makes decisions in the summer on the squad that he inherited.
Conversely, the Villa boss may well have done his video research and analysis on Kesler Hayden already and likes what he can offer now, and the youngster could potentially be drafted back in to provide competition and depth at right-back alongside the likes of Matty Cash and Ashley Young.
Cash recently suffered an injury against Stevenage in the FA Cup and so it could also perhaps be a reaction to that if the setback is serious enough to sideline him for a significant time, and so Villa need cover in that position in the coming months.
It’s a decision that will likely be explained and expanded upon in the coming days when Emery is next with the media, and it remains to be seen if Kesler Hayden now makes the squad that will travel to Southampton next weekend.
There are big hopes for him in a Villa shirt, and possibly, a major chance for him could be coming sooner than anticipated.
