Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard has confirmed that Bertrand Traore, Morgan Sanson and Lucas Digne have all been ruled out for our clash with Leicester City.
Villa have dropped to 15th place in the Premier League off the back of three consecutive defeats, and while we’ve had a fortnight to regroup and focus on getting back on track, it’s imperative that we now start to pick up results and end the season well.

Gerrard would have been hoping to have a full squad at his disposal to give us the best possible chance of doing that, but there will be absentees for our trip to the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
The Villa boss confirmed in his press conference on Friday that Traore and Sanson won’t be available for the game, while he added that Digne could be in contention to return for the final week of the season after undergoing collarbone surgery following the defeat to Tottenham.
With both Traore and Sanson still fighting to cement their place in Gerrard’s plans moving forward, that will come as a big blow for that duo that they’ll be forced to miss a potential chance to get game time.
Meanwhile, Kortney Hause will also miss out, leaving us slightly lighter on defensive options, and so it’s hoped that those who are fit and available will deliver on Saturday to help us return home with all three points.
