Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard has confirmed the team news for our clash with Norwich City on Saturday.
Following on from our draw with Leicester City last weekend which ended an unwanted four-game losing streak, Villa will hope to build on that performance and result and get back to winning ways at Villa Park this weekend.

Gerrard won’t have a full strength squad at his disposal though, as the Villa boss confirmed in his press conference on Friday that he’s still dealing with absentees through injury.
As per the club’s official site, Gerrard confirmed that Morgan Sanson and Kortney Hause remain sidelined, while Lucas Digne isn’t expected back until the last game of the Premier League season.
However, there was some positive news as Bertrand Traore has recovered from his knock and will be available on Saturday, and that’s important for him as he looks to make a positive impression on Gerrard on these last few weeks of the season to earn his spot in the squad next year.
Villa will be eager to secure a win this weekend to put more daylight between ourselves and those teams struggling below us, while the objective remains a top-half finish to better our position from last season and continue to show tangible progress.
Time will tell if we can take an important step towards that against Norwich, but Villa should be buoyed by our last performance and with the motivation to put on a show for the home faithful and build some momentum and confidence, it’s hoped that we deliver against the Canaries.
