Aston Villa face Wolves in the Premier League this weekend and Unai Emery has provided our latest team news for the encounter.
There was a fresh setback in midweek as Matty Cash was forced off with an injury in our 4-2 win over Celtic in the Champions League, with Pau Torres, Tyrone Mings, Ross Barkley and Amadou Onana all missing already.

In turn, it was hoped that the Villa boss would have good news on the injury front for this clash as we continue to face a packed fixture schedule, but a short-handed squad will travel to Molineux on Saturday.
“Matty Cash is not available,” Emery conceded at his pre-match press conference. “He’s going to be more or less three weeks out. Tyrone Mings is as well injured, not really bad, but I think he will need some days more to be ready to play.”
That presents an issue for the Villa boss in defence, as it remains to be seen who forms our backline this weekend with notable absentees continuing to miss out.
Boubacar Kamara excelled as a centre-half in midweek and so we could turn to the Frenchman to fill the void again with Mings remaining sidelined, while January signing Andres Garcia could come into contention at right-back.
Conversely, Kosta Nedeljkovic is still at the club despite being linked with a loan exit, while Emery has favoured Lamare Bogarde’s versatility in the past and he could be an option again, just as he was when Cash was forced off on Wednesday night.
However, the talented Dutch youngster looks much less convincing and comfortable in that position compared to playing in our deeper midfield pivot, and so it will be an interesting wait before Emery names his starting line-up for the showdown with Wolves.
