Aston Villa have reportedly had an offer totalling €30m rejected by Palmeiras for their talented youngster Allan.
The 22-year-old has come through the youth ranks with the Brazilian side and having made his breakthrough at senior level, he has registered nine goals and 10 assists in 88 appearances.

While he’s primarily a right-sided winger, Allan can also play through the middle and a bit deeper as a midfielder, and it appears as though his form in his homeland has attracted the interest of Villa’s recruitment team.

However, according to ESPN Brazil, Palmeiras have rejected an offer from us worth an initial €25m plus €5m in add-ons, and it’s added that they consider the talented starlet as not for sale.
In turn, it remains to be seen if that signals the end of our pursuit or if we return with an improved bid to try and prise him away, with the report going on to add that Palmeiras are likely to demand closer to €45m before they approve of an exit.
Time will tell if that is beyond our transfer budget and ultimately what we value the player at, but it’s a potentially exciting addition to bolster our attacking options.
With Morgan Rogers having already departed, coupled with speculation over the futures of Leon Bailey, Evann Guessand and others, further turnover is expected in the Villa squad in the coming weeks despite having already moved to sign Johan Manzambi and Alejandro Garnacho.
If those exits do materialise, Unai Emery will want to fill the voids as he continues to rebuild his squad, and Allan could seemingly emerge as the preferred target to add more youth, technical quality and goal contributions to the team.
It’s unclear what it would mean for Alysson, if anything at all, as although the Brazilian youngster continues to strive to make his mark, injury woes continue to hold him back as he has missed our last two pre-season outings with a knock.
It’s hoped that any pursuit of Allan or an alternative target doesn’t spell the end for him without getting a chance to see what he can offer, but certainly with Bailey being tipped to be closing in on an exit, there will be a spot to fill in the squad and Allan could be the solution if we improve our bid.
