Villa linked with potentially stunning transfer swoop to end summer

Aston Villa are reportedly monitoring the situation of Endrick at Real Madrid in the closing weeks of the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old joined the Spanish giants from Palmeiras in 2024, but had limited playing time before joining Lyon on loan last season where he scored eight goals in 21 appearances across all competitions.

With 21 caps for Brazil already to his name, there is no doubt that he is highly touted and regarded as one of the top young talents in the world, but there is seemingly uncertainty surrounding his more immediate future at club level.

According to BirminghamLive, Villa are said to be monitoring the Brazilian international’s situation at Real Madrid in what’s left of the summer transfer window, and so if there is an opening for a deal to sign him most likely on a temporary basis, then Villa may well swoop to bolster Unai Emery’s attacking options.

It’s hoped that there is an alternative plan in place in the event that a move for Endrick doesn’t materialise, as it remains to be seen if he would be open to a move to England and what competition we might have to fend off in the coming days and weeks.

Nevertheless, with speculation linking both Leon Bailey and Evann Guessand with exits this summer, should that attacking pair move on and create financial flexibility and space in the squad, perhaps Endrick will become a more realistic transfer target to add to the exciting talent that we’ve already added in this window.

Albeit we lost Morgan Rogers, the addition of Johan Manzambi coupled with the hope that Alysson can make his breakthrough this season has given us fresh impetus in the final third, and time will tell what impact Alejandro Garnacho can make under Emery’s guidance when he is fully fit.

It looks set to be an intriguing end to the transfer window for Villa, and a marquee signing could yet be on the way if Endrick opts for another loan stint elsewhere to continue his progress and development.
