Aston Villa are reportedly among a number of Premier League clubs with an interest in Metz starlet Pape Sarr.
The 18-year-old joined Metz last September and has gone on to score three goals in 22 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit this season.

It appears as though his form has attracted interest from England, with the Daily Mail reporting Everton, Man Utd and Chelsea are all keen on the £27m-rated youngster, while Villa are also explicitly named in the report as being an interested party too.
Sarr made his international debut for Senegal earlier this year and is a naturally defensive-minded central midfielder.
In turn, that would suggest Villa are considering competition in that department, with Marvelous Nakamba and Douglas Luiz options for the two-man deeper pair favoured by Dean Smith, while John McGinn has also played further back too this season.
A move for a player like Sarr could free up the Scottish international to be deployed in a more attacking role, while adding a bit more steeliness and energy to our midfield.
Time will tell if Villa are able to push their way to the front of the queue as that is significant competition for Sarr’s signature as noted above, but it promises to be a busy summer for the club as we will look to continue our progression next season.
In order to do that, reinforcements will be needed as our form has slipped significantly over the past few months with various areas of the squad arguably needing to be looked at.
