Aston Villa are reportedly said to be willing to listen to offers for Tammy Abraham, despite the fact that he only arrived in January.
The 28-year-old returned to the club for his second spell after sealing a move from Besiktas in the January transfer window, but he was limited to a bit-part role behind Ollie Watkins as he made 16 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing an assist.

Given his attributes and the qualities that he can bring to the team which offer a different dynamic to Watkins when leading the line, Abraham is an important option for Unai Emery to have, but it’s been reported that should a significant offer come in for the Villa frontman, the club could be open to the idea of selling just six months on from bringing him in.

As per The Athletic, amid touted interest in Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson, it’s suggested that Villa are willing to listen to offers for Abraham, but we are not actively looking to sell him.
In turn, it remains to be seen how much interest there is and whether or not that is formalised into an offer to try and tempt Villa into selling, but there could be a reshuffle up top if one were to be submitted.
It surely won’t be seen as a priority for Villa though as we have other areas of the squad to address, but it will be interesting to see if Emery believes that a change is needed in that department to help us be more competitive in the upcoming season.
With Morgan Rogers and Lucas Digne set to join Youri Tielemans in leaving the club this summer, Villa have moved to sign Johan Manzambi and Joao Gomes thus far to strengthen our squad.
It certainly feels as though there is a switch now in our strategy to build a more youthful, agile, dynamic and physical group, and although Abraham is still only 28 and ticks some of those boxes, perhaps Emery is looking to continue to expand this rebuild and implement further changes to suit to his evolution plan for his squad.
