Aston Villa take on Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday, and here’s how Unai Emery’s starting line-up looks for the encounter.
Although we bounced back in midweek with a win over AZ Alkmaar in the Europa Conference League, there was disappointment last time out in the league given our defeat at Nottingham Forest last Sunday.

In turn, Emery and the players will want to produce a response at home as we look to extend our brilliant form at Villa Park, and it would be a great way to sign off before the international break.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference this week, Emery noted that Diego Carlos was a doubt after he picked up a knock against AZ in the latter stages, while Jacob Ramsey is expected back after the break.
That duo aside though, as well as long-term absentees Tyrone Mings and Emiliano Buendia, it was expected that Villa would have the rest of the squad available this weekend.
As confirmed below by the club, Carlos does indeed miss out as he is not included on the bench for this one, but there is one change to the Villa XI as Youri Tielemans comes in for Nicolo Zaniolo.
The Belgian midfielder put in an impressive display on Thursday night, and so it’s an opportunity for him to build on that with a start in the Premier League and cement his place in the starting line-up.
That aside, it’s as we were from last week with a balanced and strong XI, and it’s hoped we can extend our impressive form to close the gap on the top four.
