Aston Villa forward Keinan Davis has reportedly travelled to Italy as he closes in on a move to join Udinese ahead of the transfer deadline.
The 25-year-old came through the youth ranks at Villa before going on to make 86 appearances for the senior side, scoring six goals and providing seven assists.

Loan spells at Nottingham Forest and Watford have seen him impress and seemingly find a potential move away, but neither developed into permanent deals and he has been back with the club since last season, albeit not involved in training at all at Bodymoor Heath.
In turn, an exit is the best outcome for all concerned this week ahead of the transfer deadline, and it appears as though Davis could be set for a switch to Italy.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Villa man is expected in Udine on Thursday to undergo his medical and complete the formalities of his move to Udinese, while it’s noted that the connection between the Serie A outfit and Watford through owner Gino Pozzo, has led to the somewhat surprise move materialising.
Pozzo will know Davis well from his time at Vicarage Road, and so it remains to be seen if the transfer now goes through without any late issues, as we also await further details of the agreement between the two clubs.
Naturally, it’s hoped that it’s a permanent deal rather than another loan as Davis simply doesn’t have any pathway to featuring for us under Unai Emery now, while his current Villa contract runs until next summer.
With that in mind, any fee would be a bonus rather than losing him for nothing in just under 12 months time, and although it had been reported that there was plenty of interest shown in him from Championship clubs, he could now be set for a new chapter abroad.
