Official: Hause signs Villa contract extension until 2025

Aston Villa defender Kortney Hause has agreed terms on a contract extension with the club to stay until 2025.

The 26-year-old was set to see his previous deal expire this summer, and so resolving his future was an important objective for the club this month to avoid losing him.

As per the club’s official site, Hause has now put pen to paper on a new contract that will keep him at Villa until 2025, and he’ll now look to kick on and try and establish himself in the starting XI under Steven Gerrard.

Competition is fierce in that department, with Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa cementing their spots as the first-choice centre-half pairing in recent times, with Hause limited to 42 appearances in all competitions since arriving in January 2019.

Nevertheless, he has remained professional and always ready to step in and answer the call when needed, and it’s hoped that continues in the future while he’ll no doubt have bigger ambitions of breaking into the line-up on a more regular basis.

With his future now secured, that will now allow him to fully focus on what happens on the pitch, and with Villa harbouring ambitious plans moving forward to compete on multiple fronts at a high level, he’ll certainly have a big role to play for us in the coming years.
