Aston Villa have announced that Sil Swinkels, Oliwier Zych and Aaron O’Reilly have all signed professional contracts with the club.

While the stars of the side that lifted the FA Youth Cup last season have largely put pen to paper on deals with the club, Villa have now announced that a trio of other talented starlets have also committed their respective futures.
As per the club’s official site, Swinkels, Zych and O’Reilly have all penned professional contracts with Villa, and so they will now hope to continue their development and progression in the coming years to try and make an impact at senior level.
Time will tell whether or not that happens as ultimately they will need to show that they are capable of making the cut as they go through the age groups, and the same can be said of the other youngsters who have signed new deals this summer, including the likes of Kaine Kesler and Arjan Raikhy.
Nevertheless, this is a big moment for the trio in question, and it will hopefully be a huge confidence boost that the club have identified and appreciate their talent, and are willing to invest in their futures.
While it was a blow to lose another Academy graduate in Jack Grealish this summer, Carney Chukwuemeka and Jaden Philogene-Bidace will hope to show that there is a pathway to the first team this season, and naturally the aim for the club is to ensure that others follow suit.
