As the 2021/22 season draws closer, Aston Villa have yet to release their new kits for the campaign but an image leak has perhaps revealed their new look.

Dean Smith and the players will begin the new Premier League season on August 14 against Watford, and so it will soon come round as we get back to action.

After finishing 11th last year, Villa will no doubt be hoping to build on that and continue to climb the table with the objective likely to be breaking into the top six this year and qualifying for Europe.

With players set to start to report for pre-season training next week and a schedule expected to be announced soon on how we’re preparing for the new campaign, the wait has also continued for the unveiling of the new kits.

Given there are still contracts in place with Kappa and Cazoo, it was always clear that they would remain the sponsors for Villa next season, while as per the club’s official site, they recently confirmed that OB Sports would be our new sleeve partner.

That said, there still hasn’t been an official confirmation of the new kits, but as per Footy Headlines as seen in the image below, it appears as though the home shirt has now been leaked for fans to have a look at prior to release.

It’s similar in many ways but there are stripes added to the claret on this edition of the home jersey and so it remains to be seen what the reaction will be like from supporters.

There is still no fixed announcement date to confirm the new kits, but given the source and their reliability over the years, this looks to be the new Villa home shirt for next season.
