Incoming Aston Villa signing Zepiqueno Redmond has reportedly completed his medical ahead of joining the club this summer.
The 18-year-old has made a positive impression during his time with Feyenoord, bagging goals at various youth levels to show his potential and earn seven caps for the Netherlands U19s.

However, with his contract with the Dutch giants set to expire at the end of this month, the talented young striker has been heavily linked with a move to Villa, and as per Sky Sports News, he completed his medical on Tuesday ahead of his move and will complete the formalities of his switch next month when he officially becomes a free agent.
It’s added that he will put pen to paper on a four-year deal, and so it will now be fascinating to see his progression at the club under Unai Emery moving forward.
Time will tell what the strategy will be for the Dutch starlet, as he could remain in-house and develop at youth level for us or a loan switch at a high level might make more sense to allow him to gain valuable experience and continue to improve his game.
Naturally, there is still a long way to go given his age and inexperience, but it also remains to be seen if he has been signed with the intention of eventually making a breakthrough at senior level for Villa, or if it turns out to be a smart piece of business in relation to our future PSR position and helping to balance the books if he makes us a tidy profit in the next few years.
Based on what we’ve seen from him at Feyenoord thus far though, he looks a handful of a frontman who is capable of dropping deep to link play together or provide a focal point with his strength and physical presence, while he knows how to find the back of the net, at youth level at least.
In turn, he could give us an important alternative dynamic in the final third when leading the line if he earns the trust of Emery in pre-season, but it certainly looks to be a promising signing as Monchi and our recruitment evidently believe we’re on our way to landing a top young talent with a big future ahead of him.
