Aston Villa secured a comprehensive 6-1 win over Newcastle Utd in the FA Youth Cup on Tuesday night, with Carney Chukwuemeka putting on a show.
Villa raced into a two-goal lead after just eight minutes courtesy of goals from Paul Appiah and Brad Young, before Chukwuemeka got in on the act with a classy goal of his own.

The hosts scored just before the break which was a disappointing end to the first half from a Villa perspective, and they did have their moments after the half-time interval.
However, Villa continued to create chances and threaten to put the game away and it was Chukwuemeka who led the charge for us.
The 17-year-old showed real class with his second and third goals to bag himself a hat-trick, and it’s fair to say that it was a statement performance that will have earned further attention from Dean Smith.
While the youngster has impressed for some time now and is well known by Villa fans, it’s hoped that this performance in particular was enough to warrant a chance in the first-team as he has shown that he’s ultimately too good for this level as he was a class above.
That said, the likes of Young, Arjan Raikhy and Kaine Kesler also impressed as Villa U18s have some real talent in the ranks and are playing great football on this Youth Cup run.
Villa travel to Everton this weekend and while Chukwuemeka was named on the bench last time out against West Bromwich Albion, he’ll hope that he can get some Premier League minutes under his belt if not this weekend, then at some stage before the end of the current campaign.
