The Premier League have confirmed the remaining dates for fixtures in April, with Aston Villa having two of their encounters confirmed towards the end of the month.
Dean Smith and the players will be itching to get back to club action following the international break, and the campaign will resume with the visit of Fulham to Villa Park on Sunday April 4.
The Villans travel to Anfield to face Liverpool on April 10, while that will be followed by a home clash with Manchester City on April 21, as per the club’s official site.
The month comes to an end with West Bromwich Albion visiting Villa Park on April 25, as Smith will hope his side can put together a positive string of results after a disappointing run prior to the break.
Villa currently sit in 10th place in the Premier League table with 10 games remaining, with an eight-point deficit to cut as things stand if they hold ambitions of featuring in Europe next season.
Smith will undoubtedly hope they can get off to a positive start this weekend against Scott Parker’s side, and he’ll be buoyed along with the rest of the squad to have captain Jack Grealish back at his disposal, with Villa’s creative spark resuming training on Monday.
Having been so influential for Villa so far this season, his return will hand them a timely boost as they look to climb back up the table and get back to winning ways across what promises to be a testing month.
