Aston Villa have confirmed our initial set of fixtures which will form part of our pre-season schedule ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
With much still to play for in the current season as we continue to pursue a top-five finish in the Premier League and the subsequent Champions League qualification that comes with it, full focus will be on our remaining three league outings.

However, logistically, we of course have to plan ahead and get our preparations for the next campaign in place, and the club have confirmed the first four games of our pre-season schedule, with more to follow.
Naturally, it begins with the annual trip to Walsall on Wednesday July 16, before we travel to Germany to face Hansa Rostock three days later.
Villa then travel across the pond to the USA, with our first fixture of the tour yet to be announced, but we’ll face St. Louis City SC and Nashville SC on Wednesday July 30 and Saturday August 2 respectively.
All games will be available to watch via VillaTV and ticketing news will be confirmed closer to the dates, while it’s hoped that we’ll face a good standard throughout the schedule to prepare us as best as possible for the season ahead.
It will not only be an opportunity for players to get back to full fitness, but we’ll hope to see a number of new signings in the squad prior to the fixtures getting underway, giving them the maximum amount of time possible to settle in and adapt to Unai Emery’s demands.
It’s a slight change for Villa given we’ve been part of the Premier League’s USA pre-season tours in recent years and have faced fellow clubs from the league, but this time round it looks as though we’ve gone for a different approach, and as long as we’re in the best shape possible for the first game of the competitive campaign, it will be deemed a successful pre-season schedule regardless of the opposition.
