Aston Villa reportedly won’t entertain offers that aren’t well above £100m for Morgan Rogers this summer amid transfer speculation over his future at the club.
The 23-year-old has firmly established himself as a key figure for Unai Emery since he joined us from Middlesbrough in January 2024, as he’s gone on to score 31 goals and provide 29 assists in 125 appearances for the club.
His form for Villa has led to a consistent spot in the England squad too, and although he did struggle with dips in form last season, there is no doubt that Rogers is a highly-talented player who has yet to reach his ceiling while his influence and impact goes well beyond the numbers.

Naturally though, given his impressive form and development thus far, that has led to reported interest in him from elsewhere, with Arsenal seemingly emerging as the latest club to be paired with a possible move for the Villa playmaker this summer over the past week amid widespread speculation.
As per The Daily Mail though, Villa owner Nassef Sawiris is said to be determined to ignore all interest in Rogers unless the club receives an offer well in excess of £100m.
Given the price-tags being touted for other players in the Premier League this summer coupled with the talent and potential that Rogers possesses, that would seem like a more than fair assessment from Sawiris, if accurate.
Ideally, Villa won’t sell one of our best players to essentially then fund our own spending this summer to replace him and continue to strengthen the squad, as Emery would surely prefer to build around Rogers and keep improving in other areas.
However, that’s potentially the biggest decision of the transfer window for the club, as whether it’s Arsenal or another interested party who come in with a significant offer to test our resolve, time will tell if we’ll be open to negotiations or if the ultimate aim is to fend off interest and keep Rogers at the club heading into next season.
