Aston Villa reportedly value Morgan Rogers at £130m as transfer speculation continues to link him with an exit this summer.
The 23-year-old has firmly established himself as a fundamental figure in Unai Emery’s side since joining us from Middlesbrough in January 2024, as he’s since gone on to score 31 goals and provide 29 assists in 125 appearances for the club.
Beyond the numbers though, the England international is a crucial cog in how Villa play, and so despite speculation over his future, there is no doubt at all that the club will want to keep hold of him and continue to build around him moving forward after our successful campaign last year.

Naturally though, given his talent and potential, interest from elsewhere is to be expected, and so Villa seemingly have a difficult task on their hands to fend off any interested parties and ensure that Rogers remains our player ahead of next season.
According to The Telegraph, Villa value Rogers at a whopping £130m, with Arsenal and Chelsea specifically named in the report as potentially looking to prise him away from us this summer.
That is a hefty asking price though with Middlesbrough earning £26m from a sell-on clause if that valuation is met, and of course it would become a new record British transfer fee if a deal was to materialise.
Nevertheless, it seems relatively clear in terms of Villa’s intent that we don’t want to sell him this summer, and so that significant figure will hopefully force any interested clubs to look elsewhere and consider alternative options.
A fee that large would undoubtedly put Villa in a great position to strengthen the squad as a whole and start refreshing in key areas, and so if it were to be met, then perhaps the club would consider and try to rebuild with those funds.
However, such is the importance of Rogers in our system and style of play and how effective he has become as he’s developed and improved his game under Emery, albeit he did have difficult runs lacking form last year too, ideally we’ll see him stay beyond this summer and continue to reach new heights in his career in a Villa shirt.
Time will tell if offers arrive this summer, but Villa appear to be pretty clear on what it would take to test our resolve, with the preferred outcome of the transfer window being that Rogers stays and we continue to bring in reinforcements to improve the group.
