Photos: Aston Villa release 2022/23 away kit, first under Castore

Aston Villa have confirmed our away kit for the 2022/23 season, with the club opting for a traditional look with the claret and blue.

With just two weeks to go until the start of the Premier League campaign, Villa have already released the home kit for this season, and that has been worn during our current pre-season tour of Australia.

As we prepare for the last game of that tour Down Under against Man Utd in Perth on Saturday, we’ve now confirmed our away look for the upcoming campaign with fans getting a first look at the players wearing it this weekend.

Villa players including Matty Cash, Jacob Ramsey and Emiliano Buendia were among those to model the new away shirt, as seen in the images below, and it looks like a great design with the colours switched from the home kit.

While there will also be a third kit that will be revealed in the coming weeks, Villa will hope that we’re able to make these shirts memorable ones through our success on the pitch while wearing them.

It is of course our first year with Castore after moving on from Kappa, while Cazoo remain the main shirt sponsor.

Sales will naturally dictate the response from Villa fans, but ultimately the key factor now is that Steven Gerrard and his players deliver progress and success this season as we look to build on last year and continue to move closer towards those European qualification spots.
