Aston Villa 2023/24 fixtures: Premier League schedule confirmed

Aston Villa’s Premier League fixture schedule for the 2023/24 season has been confirmed, as we begin the campaign with a trip to Newcastle Utd on August 12.

There is great anticipation for the start of the new season given our progress under Unai Emery last year, as we look to build on our seventh-place finish and continue to climb the standings.

Further, with the addition of Europa Conference League fixtures to the schedule, should we make it through the playoff round, it promises to be a busy campaign for Villa as we look to compete on multiple fronts.

It starts off with a difficult trip to face Newcastle Utd on August 12, with the game also pushed back for an evening kick-off as it will be shown live on Sky Sports.

Our first home game comes against Everton a week later, while we then face Burnley on the road with the newly-promoted side likely to be a tricky encounter as they attempt to make a positive start on their return to the top flight.

Villa have the UECL playoff round fixtures on August 24 and 31, and so that will likely change the dates of the league games around those, but that’s five games in August in what will be a hectic start to the year.

Nevertheless, Emery has spoken about welcoming more games and being in more competitions with a chance of winning silverware, and so he’ll now focus on our pre-season preparations to ensure we’re ready to hit the ground running.

Liverpool (A) and Crystal Palace (H) await us at the start of September, and so we will certainly be tested early in the season as that is a difficult run of games.

That said, there aren’t exactly any easy games in the Premier League and we of course have to face each side twice so the timing of it ultimately doesn’t really matter, while Emery and the players will undoubtedly be confident going into every single clash next season.
