While Villa don’t have a particularly positive record against them, Steven Gerrard will be hoping to change that in the New Year as he returns to Old Trafford, with the Liverpool legend undoubtedly set to receive a less-than-friendly welcome.

Nevertheless, it’s about what happens on the pitch and if he can put his players in a position to go out and win the game to advance to the next round, and the KO time and broadcast information have now been confirmed.

As per the club’s official site, the game will be played on Monday, January 10 with a 7:55pm kick off, while the game will be broadcast live on BBC1.

Villa will face Utd twice over the space of five days, with Ralf Rangnick’s side visiting Villa Park in the Premier League the following weekend, and so it’s hoped that it will be a positive week for us against Utd across both competitions.
